what's extra annoying is the breed history write up on AKC has incorrect information on Aussies and doesn't match MASCUSA Breed History info.

I stand corrected, I was just told that the reason for a lot of throwback minis (minis over a certain height) was due to the Australian shepherd lineage, and I was also told that in the standard it says they should resemble a small Australian shepherd. I also know of a lot of minis with Australian shepherds close in their pedigree

everything I've ever seen or read about the mini Aussie contradicts what you just said. all of this is true of the toy Aussies but even a simple Google search shows me that there's no heavy inbreeding and they are direct descendants of standard Aussies. I don't know where you're getting your facts
