Why do people think of Nepal like a little city? It’s a damn country y’all. Do you not travel to US if there is a hurricane at Florida?? Seriously common sense left the chart.

Yall gotta understand that tourism keeps country economies afloat. If the country isn’t making revenue than their economy is impacted as it already is from the lost of many lives, districts, and variety of important infrastructures in those areas affected.

lol people are so dumb 😭 the Philippines faces deadly typhoons each year but people still visit, America sees a ton of tornadoes and have even experienced EF5 Tornadoes and people still visit, tsunamis and earthquakes happen in japan all the time and people still visit. what happened in nepal happened in one area only. this just proves to me that some people’s empathy for nepal was fake.

Sounds like tourism is their main business. But how safe is it considering that the risks still persist.

Always go to a country after a disaster or attack. Cheaper rates.

I think flood area and tourist areas are two different places in Nepal. Sure roads and goods might have been affected but there are alternative routes to the same places tourist go to.

We are sacrificing our lives in Nepal, and we made no mistake to deserve this. Our only failing has been our inability to make our voices heard loudly enough on the global stage. We did not burn the fossil fuels that melted these glaciers. Yet we are paying the ultimate price. We claim for climate justice, grant-based loss and damage funding, and accountability from big emitters. We cannot remain quiet any longer.

what people needs to understand is flood didn't occur in every part of Nepal. it only occurred in small part of one district. and the tourists will not be allowed to visit the disaster zone. the cities and trekking trails like abc, ebc, madi himal, and hundreds more are safe and open.
