I’m from 🇨🇦. Our laws are somewhat different. I had a cop who just assumed. I then asked him why he stopped me. He said I was going 96kph in a 60. So I had to ask him what he was using to track my speed. Once he said his radar I then asked him if he calibrated it prior to his speed trap. I did this all politely. He didn’t respond. I asked may I see his calibration. He said no which he doesn’t have to which bylaw. It’s released in discovery. He came back 5 min later and lowered my ticket to 10km over. Not worth the fight in court. Some of these small town cops are just looking for a payday
