This ex Major was more to Gen Acheampong than being his assistant (or ADC). He was also his hatchetman, his eyes & ears, and his whisperer. Those who lived at Camp in those days and remember the infamous Acheampong House at Arakan (5BN) can attest to that. Remember what he said at the beginning of this clip: "When WE were overthrown". A mere ADC will never make a statement to suggest that he was a member of government. For instance, the Military officer you see standing behind the Ghanaian President is his ADC (Military Assistant) and is never a part of the President's government. Everything this man said should suggest to you that he had more than a 'personal assistant' influence on Acheampong. He was not a kind man.

I don’t know about what he is saying but I know my father was the ADC to Acheampong back in the day he is now deceased. Major Felix Asare was his name. He was detained under house arrest after the coup

Though he was not with Kutu at the time, he knows Kutu had told the Akuffo team to give him time to consider the demands.
