@valusis: How a Mother-of-Pearl Fumé dial is made. 1. It begins as a hand-selected shell, chosen for its iridescence. 2. The shell is then sliced to 0.3mm. Thin enough for light, thick enough to hold. 3. Color is layered by hand, even in tone, never opaque. The shell stays visible underneath. 4. The edge is smoked to fumé, letting the contrast take center stage. 5. Each index is set with tweezers, one at a time, before the dial is seated into the case. Five stages, none of them automated. It's why the first batch has only 200 pieces. Live Saturday, 12 September. The VIP list gets access first → www.valusis.com
