Here’s a family friendly adventure in Egypt. On a weekend getaway to Hurghada (40min-1hr flight out of Cairo), we visited the Hurghada Grand Aquarium. - Entrance fee is US$30 for Adult Foreigners and free for toddlers aged 3 and under. Adult Locals/Resident pay +/- 400-500EGP. - They have photographers throughout the tour who can take family pictures of you. You pay for print and digital copies at the end of the visit; We paid around $50 or so (don’t remember 🙊) - They also have a few cafes in the aquarium where you can grab a quick drink and snack - The website says they have a shark feeding slot, in case that tickles your fancy - The entire visit was less than 2 hours, depending on how long you stay at each station - They have a shop at the exit where you can get some curios - BONUS TIP- It’s best you self drive or use a tour operator to take you there and back to your accommodation. Ubers will accept a card trip but will (as good as) demand a USD Cash payment (maybe because it’s a tourist/resort town?). We took an Uber there and that was easy, but going back was such a mission.
