When driving under a bridge stay in the middle under the board. Cars are targeted from the edges of the board. Very sad that a lady lost her life last month.

Entering M1 bridge in the direction towards Sandton from M2 just after the bend. A guy looked like a person begging for money or something till he pulled out a gun out of his sling bag as he leaned into the vehicle... It reminded me not to drive with my window open, I had become too comfortable.

my best friend, same bridge in July. Police found the guy as he did it to other cars at the same time. They let him go and said that he was mentally insane.

How many more South Africans must die before government does more than simply warn motorists to “be vigilant”? A woman was killed because a rock was thrown from a bridge on the R24 near Gillooly’s. This was not an unavoidable accident, it was murder, and similar incidents have already been reported in the area. We pay more than enough in taxes to expect basic protection on our roads. Install CCTV cameras, proper lighting and protective fencing on high-risk bridges. Increase patrols, monitor these hotspots and prosecute those responsible. Motorists cannot be expected to watch the road, dodge potholes, avoid criminals and inspect every bridge above them all while government watches from the sidelines Enough warnings. We need action. Our taxes should fund public safety, not endless excuses and corruption.
