Dituntut 6 tahun penjara, Gus Yazid justru divonis 1 tahun bui dalam kasus Tindak Pidana Pencucian Uang (TPPU) yang berkaitan dengan korupsi penjualan tanah BUMD di Cilacap. Majelis Hakim Pengadilan Tipikor Semarang pada Rabu (9/9/2026) menyatakan Ahmad Yazid alias Gus Yazid terbukti turut serta melakukan tindak pidana pencucian uang. Ia dijatuhi hukuman 1 tahun penjara dan denda Rp50 juta. Jika denda tidak dibayar, harta bendanya akan dilelang dan apabila tidak mencukupi, diganti dengan kurungan 50 hari. Vonis tersebut jauh lebih ringan dibanding tuntutan jaksa yang meminta hukuman 6 tahun penjara dan denda Rp1 miliar. Dalam pertimbangannya, hakim menyebut status Gus Yazid sebagai tokoh agama, belum pernah dihukum, mengakui perbuatannya, serta memiliki tanggungan keluarga sebagai hal yang meringankan. Dalam perkara ini, Gus Yazid didakwa menerima uang tunai secara bertahap sebesar Rp20 miliar yang disebut berasal dari hasil korupsi penjualan tanah HGU Carui seluas sekitar 716 hektare di Cilacap.
