A interesting thing about this, Geralt didn’t just take the surname, he also adopted the accent. He’s described to have a Rivian accent, despite not being from there. He’s imitating it.

his father's was revealed. not named, but described as a "swashbuckler" or something along those lines by Vilgefortz. I believe it was just before Ciri and Geralt got separated and she went through the portal

My favorite part of this part in the books is he takes his coronation as knight and bows his head just low enough so he can laugh to himself because destiny made his fake name a real one 😂
