How to plan a trip to Japan with no experience 1️⃣ figure out what season you want to visit. March, April, and May will be more pricey because of cherry blossom season. November and December tend to be pricey because of the fall colors. January and February are historically cheaper times to visit Japan. Unless you like being rained on constantly, I would completely avoid Japan in September in the beginning parts of October, because they’re in full typhoon season. 2️⃣ Set a budget and buy your plane tickets. Budgets are going to be personal to each person— always make sure you are within your financial means and you are happy with the money that you spend! Don’t be afraid to splurge a little bit! 3️⃣ You can fill out the immigration forms online the moment that you have your passport, flights, and an address you are leaving too from the airport. Are you believe this doesn’t really save time as much as it will save stress. 4️⃣ Plan your route. This is difficult because some people want to stay in Tokyo the whole time and take day trips. Others are hotel hoppers and like to leave the city completely. I personally am a hotel hopper so my route involved a lot of cities. 5️⃣ Figure out if a JR pass is financially worth it. More than likely it won’t be, but there are a few occasions where it is. Regardless you’re going to need a transit card even if you get the JR pass. SUICA is the most common one. And can be found in your iPhone Apple wallet. If you’re an android user you’re going to have to get a physical card. 6️⃣ Miscellaneous items include making sure your prescription medication is legal in Japan, and figuring out if you should get a pocket Wi-Fi or an eSIM. 🎌 #japan#japanto#howtoplanatriptojapanan#japantrippP#TripPlanningo#TikTokCreatorSearchInsightsIncentive
