I like Destiny, but saying Israel can’t layout its own proposal for its own borders without consensus from neighbouring countries doesn’t make any sense. Yes they’ll likely be contested, but that’s the whole point, otherwise how does someone know they need to negotiate with you if you don’t tell them how you disagree with them.

Actually, those borders were dictated by Great Britain, and Israel has violated those "negotiations" over and over and over.

Watching Shapiro take a stance and then immediately flee as soon as it was examined was so frustrating. Israel must have a constitution! But actually it doesn’t matter!

Consensus space in our minds ≠ negotiation between two countries? How is this “Not even remotely true?” The country has a leader or party of representation, the two nations leaders have minds, an agreement exists within the consensus of those two minds.

"i want to see Israel tell me where there borders are, why won't they tell us what they seem are their borders" -> moved the goalposts to "well other countries have yet to acknowledge their northern border with Israel" ... sweet dodge

Well that’s not necessarily true……….The only time there’s a negotiation on boarders is when one country is trying to encroach on or take another country’s land. As Isreal is concerned it’s interesting that everyone ignores that they did have defined borders in 1947. The fact that they keep trying to expand doesn’t negate the fact that there were borders.

“Where are its borders”—mind you Israel is a tiny country of 7 million Jews amidst a vast 1.7 BILLION Pan-Arab empire. Destiny is correct about how borders come about as well.

Israel didnt exist until a minority of people there decided to preemptively attack and expel residents of the territory. The ottoman empire didnt separate its empire by hard borders, so none existed previously. The british and french carved up the areas under a League of Nations stewardship that they then just gifted away.

Except this is a pretty dishonest argument from Destiny. The criticism isn’t that Israel hasn’t managed to agree on a border with Syria or other neighboring states. It’s that Israel refuses to clearly define where its territory ends in the Palestinian territories, particularly the West Bank, where it continues to expand settlements. Bringing up Syria and blaming other countries for the lack of defined borders completely sidesteps that issue. It makes the argument sound convincing while simply ignoring the part of the criticism that actually concerns Israel’s own actions.
