Yes. We understand perfectly. You’ve taken the fact that a British politician was born in Somalia and presented it as something the public should be suspicious of. If your argument is about her policies, qualifications or record, make it. But if all you have to offer is where she was born, then you’re not exposing anything — you’re exposing your own prejudice. Being born in Somalia does not make someone less British, less capable, or less entitled to represent their community. What exactly are you implying, Zia? Say it plainly.

My response would be to Zia. what you’re saying, but I think it’s important to be clear: being born in Somalia doesn’t make anyone less worthy of representing Holborn. Britain is built on people from many places and cultures working together. We should judge candidates by their policies and behaviour, not their background. I hope we can agree on that.
