I do agree up until the very end, to say the Mass is a re-occurrence seems to be saying Christ is sacrificed again. E.L. Mascall in his Corpus Christi gives a good account for his view of the mass in which the sacrifice of Christ, which he prior proved to be the whole incarnation and not Calvary alone, is present in a purely sacramental manner, but not that it is a thing distinct from it, but the sacramental nature of the sacrifice at Golgotha 33 A.D. is made present as one numerically and metaphysically identical act/event.
