Simple. Double texting gets us ignored. Putting in effort is looked at as clingy. Not enough effort is looked at as playing games. So they stopped. I stopped. Then the girl I’m with now actually showed me it’s ok to put that effort in. Now I give her the world. You should also ask your fellow single women what it is they want because it’s confusing guys with the back and forth.
