Melmoth by Sarah Perry is a gothic, atmospheric novel about a menacing presence that watches people… The Shining by Stephen King follows a winter caretaker who descends into madness in an isolated hotel. The Hacienda by Isabel Canas follows a newly married woman who fights supernatural terror inside a haunted Mexican estate.
