@shanika.malcolm: The more deeply I understand my body, the less willing I am to override her. I’m learning to recognize when I’m expanding, when I’m turning inward, when my sexual and creative energy is at its peak, and when my body is asking me to slow down. And maybe one of the most powerful things we can learn as women is that we don’t have to unconsciously give all of our life-force energy away. We can pour it back into ourselves. Into our bodies. Our creativity. Our purpose. Our healing. Our relationship with God. Our LIFE. This is part of what Hieros Gamos — the Sacred Marriage means to me.
