took me months to get an appointment. the appointment went great and they told me about treatment options that would help and that they'd call me to schedule them. I didn't hear back so I called them, only to find out the first doctor (not the specialist) changed his mind and overrode the treatment plan. he doesn't even work there anymore? but the new plan is just to live with it. 🙃

innacurate— no specialist I've been too looks like they even know what an n95 is 🥰 (this is only half a joke. disclaimer: I have amazing specialists but none of them mask and it drives me crazy. the fact that my Internal Medacine specialist who focuses on POTs, knows it's often trigger by viral infections, and worked in the ICU most of his career including through covid but still doesn't mask is kinda insane to me....)

this tiktok perfectly captures 1) the psychiatrist who recommended me ECT after like 15 seconds of hearing that multiple antidepressants hadnt work, 2) the psychologist who attempted EMDR for what was actually a sensory issue, and 3) the "EDS specialist" geneticist who diagnosed me but was rude as hell the entire time.

went to a urologist at a hospital i didnt know was christian at the time. after all the testing, he told me what was wrong with me, and that ill need surgery. then he genuinely just stared at me. (found out later from notes and another hospital that he also lied about the state of my condition! gaslit me about symptoms that were literally normal for what i was going through.)
