@theipaper: France is loaning the Bayeux Tapestry to the British Museum for the first time since it was made almost 1,000 years ago - so how can you get tickets? The 70 metre long artwork tells the story of the Norman conquest of England and the Battle of Hastings in 1066. A whopping 80,000 people waited in the online queue for tickets, leaving many disappointed. But for those who missed out, the museum will soon be releasing another batch.
Where the local Hastings residents around in 1066 to see the battle? No.. so why should they get priority?

When I joined the queue on the first day there were 82,314 ahead of me. I stayed online and eventually bought tickets. I then found my ticket when I saw it in 1986 but am glad I’ve got new tickets 🤭
