@bychvnge: There’s a difference between being unrealistic about the work and being completely delusional about what the work could eventually become. You need the second one. Because before anything works, there’s usually a period where it looks like it won’t. Nobody sees it. Nobody understands it. The numbers don’t reflect it. The opportunities aren’t there yet. And sometimes, even you have no evidence that you’re right. That’s where most people become reasonable. They lower the expectation. They choose something safer. They start preparing for it not to happen. But sometimes you need a level of self-belief that makes absolutely no sense to anybody except you. Not: “I hope this works.” But: “I’m going to make this work.” Because when you genuinely believe there’s a way, failure stops being the conclusion. It becomes feedback. You adjust. You learn. You try again. You keep moving until reality eventually catches up with what you saw in your head years ago. Call it unrealistic. Call it delusion. Just don’t stop believing long enough to find out you were right. Be completely delusional about what’s possible for you.
