Hey so I have a version of this carrier. If you want to keep using it, you have to change the seat part to the wide seat setting so he can be more seated in the carrier and help his hips be in the right spot. It took me a while getting used to but it’s actually my favorite carrier that I own

Definitely get a better carrier I love the ergo 360 you can front wear back wear and Dave the forward and I can nurse my babies in them. You can get the on Facebook marketplace for like $30 to $50

Small word of advice from an old dad. The front carriers are safer than back carriers especially where the ground might be slippery. Easier to break a fall falling forwards than backwards.
