Having livestock can put you at a higher risk for fungal pneumonia, also hypersensitivity pneumonitis (also called farmers lung) which I would ask about!

I went into the ER for the same thing you are describing. They saw the same thing on a CT and did the bronchoscopy. I was treated under Penn Medicine so if you need info on good pulmonologists feel free to send me a message. I hope they are able to figure it out and you’ll be able to go home asap❤️🩹

I had this happen to me! It was a fungus growing in my lung. I had to have it scraped out of my lung.

If they can’t diagnose you with anything, at least ask if they can rule out Cryptococcosis. It’s a fungal infection that can mimic pneumonia on an X-ray and can present itself with very few symptoms. It can only be treated with specific anti fungal meds and certain antibiotics. Hope they figure it out & get you home soon 🙏🏻
