This is great to know! Thank you! I have a 35 yr old mare with cushions our farrier said she’s foundered but not horrible. Well here lately this south ga weather has us fighting thrush with her could you give us any pointers on how to better prevent this? We’re soaking feet and using dr naylors and thrush buster and it’s cleared up nicely but I’ve never in my many years owning horses had a severe issue with thrush until I got this old mare. (The hoof that has the worst thrush in it)

Every farrier has a different approach and none of them are wrong. In my opinion this is not what I would do, but I cannot see it hurting like I said it’s not wrong.💪

We have a rescue with laminitis. I’m going to try that today. I don’t have an old pair of flip-flops, but I have those puzzle floor mats that are made out of foam about the same thickness. I’m gonna try that. I don’t have any spare flip-flops. I want to cut apart.

I use dmso/liniment, then apply magic cushion..with a diaper cutout. They love the topical anti inflammatory and the squish of the magic cushion which gets drawn in by the dmso (in turn hardens while pain relief)
