@alexandralmack: This is CRAZY bananas breaking news in the Lindsay Clancy trial on DAY 6 of deliberations!! Sounds like we have 11-1 right now because the 1 is NOT following the Judge’s instructions!! #lindsayclancycase #lindsayclancy #lindsayclancystory #lindsayclancytrial #patrickclancy
There is no way 11/12 of them think she is not guilty. This world is doomed

Jurors on the Casey Anthony case wanted nothing more than to convict her. They said in interviews they didn’t even like her. But they voted not guilty because they followed beyond reasonable doubt. This juror is not doing their job

I don’t see how people are reading this as favorable to either side. You can easily interpret it as 11-1 guilty, with one person having unreasonable doubt; or 11-1 NG with one person not realizing the prosecution didn’t meet the burden. Reddington’s objection plays no factor. It’s simply the correct legal strategy to get a deliberation objection on the record for appeal.

The way I hear this is the 1 juror is expressing reasonable doubt within the group (or agreeing w their reasonable doubt statements/arguments) but continues to vote guilty

Truthfully I think it is opposite. I think we have one juror saying not guilty and the rest are saying guilty.

The jury told the Judge that one juror had refused to follow the law of reasonable doubt. It's been one all this time.

That single juror now holds ALL the power, the outcome of this case is in their hands and they’re the one not following instructions, I can see why Reddington is cross.

I used to be a courtroom clerk. I swear, jurors sometimes lose all of their common sense once they go back to deliberate.

So basically one juror is like “there’s reasonable doubt but she needs to be convicted” which is literally not what reasonable doubt rules mean

I’m thinking the jurors see that PC is absent as well. It has to make an impression on some choices.

It doesn’t matter what the judges instructions are if a juror wants to vote a certain way because of any reason that’s there right that’s why it has to be unanimous and it would be a mistrial . What if they are all saying guilty except 1

jurors can do whatever they want. and how would the defense lawyer know it’s 1 person?

Honestly… if they get a mistrial after 11/12 jurors said NG I don’t know why the prosecution would even waste their time and money trying again. So because that one person wants a Guilty charge so bad it might end up being the reason she walks completely free.

How do you know the one person has reasonable doubt? Maybe he's the only one that is looking at it. The right way
