@therheumdoc: Methotrexate is one of the most commonly used medications for rheumatoid arthritis. But did you know that the way methotrexate is administered can affect how well your body absorbs it? For some people, switching from oral methotrexate to an injection may provide more consistent absorption and can be especially worth discussing when oral methotrexate is not working well enough or is causing gastrointestinal side effects. ⚠️ But do not make the switch on your own. Your rheumatologist needs to consider your disease activity, current dose, side effects, other medications, laboratory monitoring, and overall treatment plan before deciding whether injectable methotrexate is appropriate for you. And if your rheumatoid arthritis is still active despite methotrexate, don't simply assume that you have to live with those symptoms. There may be options worth discussing with your rheumatologist. 👉 Watch the FULL video on my YouTube channel to learn why methotrexate injections may work differently, who may benefit, and what you should discuss with your rheumatologist. Your treatment deserves a closer look especially if your RA is still not under control. 🩵 #RheumatoidArthritis #RheumatoidArthritisAwareness #Arthritis #ArthritisRelief #rheumatologist
