@thedarkhorsehq: If your main goal as a leader is avoiding conflict, you are the root of the problem. That calm on your team isn’t peace. It’s silence collecting interest. Ever worked for a conflict avoider? Yes or no 👇 #leadership #conflictavoidance #toxicworkplace #worktok #management

This is facts. I sit beside people every single day that are "leaders" that address nothing. Too busy being everybody's friend. Don't want to get involved but they sure like the pay.

Facts. And instead of my manager having the hard conversations with his staff, he told me to have the hard conversation with my supervisor. I’m, sir, that supervisor is YOUR direct report. YOU handle him. Not me. I work for him.

Yes. Avoided conflict rarely makes it disappear. It usually makes the problem bigger.

I know everything about the property and can absolutely pick up problem areas. My mindset and background is built for it, My tech comes from an abusive micromanage job. How long do I baby him along to be blunt? Do I match the time he was with old employer? 9 months in and still explaining situational awareness as already had 2 seniors trip on extension cord from vacuum. We talked today about if you are here and cords over there you are not in control of that area as its a blind spot and directly in front of elevator. The only time I feel like I can leave him alone is cleaning a turn. I feel like an ass 4 days out of the week as following him around as I have higher standards or expectations yet have to do it to not make him feel bad.

💯🥰❤️Love the fact he brought up about the person that did not have the hard conversation. person dont like taking responsibility because there are consequences to taking responsibility. and people do retaliate, when you call them out on their bad behavior

Here’s some food for thought. What if you bring a situation that is not correct to the boss and management lets you believe that you were wrong until someone finally leaks that you were right along. How would you handle these situations? I find myself in these situations frequently.

What happens when your leader chooses staff retention over disciplinary action to improve the team. My leader is more concerned about retention and changing the way we do things. It’s more work for me. He allows employees to give him flack and say whatever they want. The team needs change but he’s more concerned with keeping staff. I was originally allowed and had a good relationship regarding changes. Now it’s just “follow the line.” It’s just created distrust with my supervisors.

Avoiding the conversation doesn’t solve the problem—it usually makes it bigger. Clear expectations, documentation, and a direct conversation should happen before the entire team starts feeling the effects. 👏🏾

I have watched this for 7 years and no one does a thing about it..When I speak up,I am the problem..So I try to keep my mouth shut and worry about myself and that is it...we aren't a team and never will be because management does not have a team mentality....
