Umm... the vast majority of this positivity comes from the fact that China transformed into a different country over the last 20 years. In the West there may well be some backsliding on some of these things.

The poverty stat is wrong. If you put the poverty line at 1 dollar per day - which is where your stat comes from and that no one can survive on then yes “poverty” is decreasing, but if you put the poverty line at 7 dollars a day wage, then poverty is actually on the rise since the 1960s
