You can still check her out on YouTube! ———- Meet Layla, one of the many undead servants of the Underworld (aka Grim HQ). Unlike the rest of her undead coworkers, she's everything the Grim isn't - colorful, creative and bursting with energy! Each day she dreams of becoming a reaper so that she can travel to the surface and befriend ALL the humans - but after she finally gets her wish things get complicated when she's sent to reap her first human on earth. Turns out your'e supposed to kill them NOT befriend them! --- Thank you you to each and every contributor to this short Pilot! It has been such a whirlwind, mining this out of scrapped boards from a Cartoon Network project from 2023 to now a full fledged short with music, sfx and proper voice acting! It's been a true joy getting to work with such amazing, kind, and generous talent. While I don't consider this fully polished by any means, this is a true love letter to a cartoon I've been wanting to make since middle school and hope I'm doing that little one proud. Layla is a love letter to anyone who knows what its like to grow up just a little too hyperactive, too weird and too genuine for a world who doesn't get you. Keep being you kid!
