did you already read about those newest results on the dunning kruger effect? they re-checked the math and found it to be wrong. if you re-do the math, the dunning kruger effect no longer is about the most unintelligent thinks of themselves as being specially intelligent, suddenly the entire framing turns upside down. the newest result says not the very stupid ones overestimate themselves the most but the most intelligent ones overestimate themselves the most. how is that not just fascinating? with this new results the entire interpretation also suddenly changes. suddenly this scientists would not say any longer: those dumb ones think of themselves as being more than what they really are. suddenly those scientist reframe dunning kruger as: the very intelligent are overestimating themselves for the good reason to stimulate themselves into bringing forth even more good results. if it’s about themselves they suddenly completely change the narrative. it’s not any longer about dumb ones being dumb without knowing it, suddenly it’s about the good ones thinking of themselves of being so good for the sake of even being better (than they think they already are). virtue signaling on scientific level.
