I tried to limit the amount of transitions for my kids, so we do 9 nights with me and 5 nights with dad during the school year. I handle almost all school related stuff, so it made the most sense. In the summer we do week on, week off.

My ex and I have been successfully co-parenting for 8 years and we have a 2-2-5-5 schedule. Ex. I get them every Monday and Tuesday. He gets them every Wednesday and Thursday. Then we alternate weekends. It's pretty much 50/50.

I am a step mom to two teenagers. When they were little, we “exchanged” (idk the best word for it lol) every 3 days. Once they were a little older not quite pre teens, we went to the week on week off schedule and it worked really well for them.
