a lot of people (unfortunately even me) simply didn't or still don't enjoy being alive. the idea of dying while doing something useful, or even rescuing someone gives lost human a bit of hope that at least he was doing something right anyway no one guarantees that you'll die, being thrown out of comfort zone mostly changes your mind. it's may traumatize or give a reason to wake up next morning, depends on where and when you served my grammar still awful but i hope the point is understandable
