I saw a bunch of people saying they won't do it because it changes their personality. I'm sorry, I had one cat go into heat before her spay and we both wanted to die, that wasn't her personality that was her suffering

An unaltered animal cannot live in my home and I say this as someone who has adopted cats that were already fixed and taken in strays I’ve had to fix myself.

I just don’t agree with the whole the thing. I wouldn’t want someone to do it to me. It’s not for the cat/dog. It’s only to make humans feel better and I don’t need that.

Sometimes people take in a stray because no one else will and they don’t have financial means to get the surgery. I’m not shaming anyone for being kind and doing the best that they can. At the same time, a female dog that’s not fixed or bred can develop life threatening conditions that are more expensive. Please seek help and research resources to get your animals fixed. Some low cost clinics have assistance available for those that qualify.

This! Had a neighbor that said he couldn’t take his man pats. So his Jake cat was impregnating all the stray females and one had her kittens in our outside doghouse. But it was my responsibility to care for. Then this poor make only lived 4 years cause he was constantly fighting. Make cats not neutered and outside live a very hard life and you are basically killing ghrm

I don't neuter my dog of 17 yrs because I wanted a grandbaby. He was chill, a little spicy and so loving. My 2yo cat was spayed due to health reasons. The going in and out of heat was taking a toll on her and she is so much calmer. She doesn't bitch slap me anymore.

Yeah I have had cats and dogs, and we always spay and neuter them. I know each county is different, but you can look up free spay and neuter programs. Lots of towns do pop up spay and neuter mobile shops, and they're usually free or less than $100. I call places with spay and neuter lower cost programs to find out the price, then save that amount before a pet is 6 months old. Usually prices must include sedation, rabies vaccine, and surgery. I also pay for tagging/microchip, plus any other vaccines. This stops aggression in cats and dogs, as well as roaming outside. It also prevent cancer, fibroids, and disease.
