my mom would have been more accepting of my brother being gay than me because she’s that much of a boy mom. i wa homeless for being gay but before that she would ask me if he was because she’s had compassion for him. my brother is straight but still…… just shows that no matter what, they will have an upper hand. and my mom is a YT southern Karen.

Reframe the way you view privileges. Being privileged in one way doesn't mean you aren't also oppressed in a different way. Do you think experiencing transphobia is a privilege? Or is it a disadvantage? If it's a disadvantage, wouldn't it be a good thing to not experience it? Same thing with homophobia and anything else.
