I’m a single father and my daughter went through the same situation. I took in multiple times for self harm and got her help. She was able to graduate online and is now in medical school. She’s doing amazing now!

Bullying is the main reason we pulled my 12yo out this year and doing Virtual Academy, Kumon, Duolingo, and workbooks ... he is excelling far faster then he did last year in public school.

So…that school district sucks! I believe if there is a medical issue they have to give accommodations for it. You were definitely better off with the GED than dealing with that school any longer

That actually breaks my heart. I work at a mental health hospital and we actually have certified teachers on site for this reason. I'm so glad you're healthy now. Thank you for sharing your story because I think these people that are actively seeking help.
