just thought I would touch on this subject a little more, I’m glad others can relate to how I feel and feel less alone. it’s a shitty thing to relate to, but addiction and recovery isn’t pretty. it’s the biggest mental challenge you can put yourself through. most of my recovery has been relatively easy compared to others, but this subject hits me like a damn train. I struggle with it in my relationship, I don’t feel good naked anymore. I am always bloated because of the problems I have with my bowels after addiction from heavy fent usage. it makes me feel like someone I don’t even know. and although im learning self love inside, I need to learn it on the outside as well. there needs to be way more conversation about this because this can be a huge reason someone relapses. the thought has crossed my mind but I have the tools from all my different therapy to learn to cope with those thoughts. I’m in a strong place mentally, other than my body image and self love. One day I hope to have pure self love to myself for the first time in my life. I hope we can all achieve that. we are all so worthy of love and confidence. #sobriety #addiction #recovery #WeDoRecover #addict
