The deal was for America to have first right of refusal and set prices for our minerals, increase patent protection times for Pharmaceuticals increasing prices and allowing anglophone packaging, in a bilingual country. Very early on (winter 2025) a political panel in Canada on CBC had their usual journalist/analysts including a black francophone woman from Quebec. She said that we need to be mindful of his history with women in how we try to understand his behaviour to Canada. She talked about typical DV behaviours etc. The host Rosie scoffed and moved on but I haven’t been able to forget it as we watched Trump roll out his attacks on Canada.

I do agree with your POV and appreciate some of your comments, in particular “put yourselves in his swollen ankles” lol but I do think our resources have a lot to do with it. Not for him necessarily - you’re right - he cares only for the attention and power he gets by continuously shitting on us, but for the players around him who definitely know he can do their dirty bidding while they rub their hands together imagining the riches they will make raping and pillaging our resources.
