I actually am most always disappointed when I get a manicure at a nail shop. I do a better job, I swear. But I miss getting my nails done.

I’m glad I’m not alone. I went to a nail salon for a basic manicure and they looked at me like I had two heads😳 My natural nails grow fast but when one breaks it’s devastating. I prefer my natural nails because I don’t find spending hours in the salon getting my nails done relaxing.

I found a good dope for the Londontown on Amazon for $7.99 so I’m excited about that. It doesn’t have all the shades but a nice selection and works better for me than the kur.

I so know what you mean about getting a manicure recently and your cuticles looking worse! But I am really enjoying my natural nails and was encouraged by all of your posts. Every once in a while, I do get the feeling of wanting to put the other ones back on. But I’m starting to really feel like they’re much classier and if I want polish, I can change the color as often as I want, which I kind of like as well! It’s taking me a little bit of figuring out to get the polish looking as “perfect” as I want, but the right tools are key!! I bought an Olive and June nail brush which I dip in the polish remover and helps me on my right hand, which always looks not as good as my left hand. 😊

I broke down. I got acrylic nails put on, sorta looks like your daughters nails. I love them! But I am also a little mad at myself.

I follow the same routine you are using. I like it a lot! They last almost 2 weeks. I keep them shorter as a result. They break if longer. My nails were TRASHED from nail salons. They filed them so much they were super thin. When they grew out the dent in my nails from over filing was sad! Not sure a I’ll ever go back to gel nails…

I have struggled with my nails and for the last few weeks, I’ve put on a coat or two of Nail-Aid Keratin 3 Day Growth each day and my peeling, cracked nails have actually grown and look decent. Super cheap at Walmart or on Amazon. Every couple of days I remove it and start fresh with two coats so it doesn’t get too thick.

I’m on the same nail journey. My polish has been chipping so much more the last two weeks. Today was the first day in a while where I started considering going to get dip again lol. Ugh

your natural nail journey is admirable, stay strong! have you considered press ons, they seem to be very popular and upgraded from back in the day, maybe would satisfy the itch. (I am still going for gel manis🤪)

I always wanna go natural. And then when I go in there and tell them to take my nails off, she talks me into keeping them instead of having my natural nails, it frustrates me.

Well proud of you for trying and giving yourself a break from doing it one week! I know that my dad has been in the hospital for a month and I’ve been washing my hands a ton and now my skin is so dry! I feel like my mood dictates weather or not I feel like getting a mani and pedi- yet I still go in once a week. Routine I guess- or I’m to moody these days! Headed to my daughter in Colorado (I’ll see her beautiful long gel nails too!) I’ll be jealous but she is 26 and I’m almost 59. Keeping natural nails because my derm says the light is bad and I don’t want more skin cancer! Okay way too much information (sorry!)
