are you getting the rotating assembly balanced or just throwing it all together? I'm debating on new pistons and rods but don't wanna pay to do all of that. its my first garage build

The 317 and 243 have the same exact specs besides the 317 having a larger chamber lowering compression, a stock 243 and flat top pistons would probably be around 10:1 and that’s fine for what you’re trying to do

I have a lq9 and I’m using 706 heads with ls9 gaskets, so far haven’t had issues with the 706 heads might wanna take into consideration

For boost you want low compression I’d say 317

823 bro, take advantage of the fact it bore can accept those heads. Better flow and compression for a turbo build

317 if you’re good with a boosted build, 243 or 706 if a NA build

Your sitting with one of the best heads for boost. 317 will be able to go further than others cuz of the bigger chamber..stick with what you have bud

If you’re staying under 1000hp, just keep the stock heads they flow well enough to support that.

get the btr canted valve cathedral port heads, back cut the valves, multi angle valve seat job and throat blending. 90% of you velocity and cfm at 200-500 lift, you can get q 600 -620 lift cam ,fat ass torque curve ,breath to 7k+ if you want and you won't be replacing springs every 20k miles
