my friend is a radiology resident and he showed me a ct of an outside hospital where the tube went through the lung and into the mediastinum causing a pneumomediastinum 😵💫

@wisdom ✌️: I’m a nursing student.. level 100.. i know that there’s a kind of air pressure built around the lungs which is enclose by a membrane… and that if the pressure is altered could collapse the lungs… can this procedure lead to that???

Me watching this as a nurse… taking care of patients with chest tubes… makes me feel more nervous than I was before!! Especially when you said “you’ll feel the lung flopping around there”.
