I was cadre at SWCS & C and happen to be at Walmart where an older lady was feeling faint. So I started assessing her but wasnt confident in my findings. A D student came over to help and was on it. His reporting to the 911 operator had me in awe😂😂. I was using simple terms he was really professional using every medical term in the book. I just asked her questions and relayed to the student😂

18Ds are not just medics. They are DRs in the field! Also dentists etc!! My tooth cracked in the field, medic gave me a temp filling that lasted over 25 years!!!

Totally untrue. A lot of deltas get the rap for being lazy. Also a lot of them get the rap for not being to great on the range. Pretty true in my experience. Also, they rarely get to experience schools to the volume of other mos’s do. They are also ALMOST ALWAYS the first dude to get out of the army after their first contract. They are fantastic but definitely not the backbone or heartbeat of the ODA

So pjs and 18ds maintain comparable levels of medical training? Not asking if one is better than the other both are studs but does one get a significant amount more training on the med side

I do have a question though. Have you been able to serve with Pjs and how do Your medical knowledge compare? I’ve always looked up to Both Sf medics and Pjs alike so I am curious if there’s much difference in medical knowledge or capability.
