@amyhembrow: And I keep thinking… why would anyone put their savings, their livelihood, their time and years of their life into building something when the odds feel this stacked against them?
People vote for socialism and then wonder why the standard of living drops

I had this conversation today. The saddest point, majority of the 370,000 business that shut would be at a loss. Saddest part. You rarely shut down at a plus ☹️🥲 so sad

You are so right! Unfortunately the government is doing the exact opposite to also help small businesses. So there is no room for error.

We lost everything this year our company and now we’re moving overseas for 12 months because we just can’t afford to be here anymore. We’re just exhausted so loving to stay with family it’s so sad so many businesses collapsing

We’ve been in business for 11 years, and the last couple have been ridiculously difficult. The risks are higher. The costs are higher. The returns are lower. The amount you have to put in now to get the same outcome, is 10x more than it used to be. You have to be SO strategic, and you nailed it by saying there is no wiggle room for trial and error. For experimentation.

I’ve wanted to give up so many times, I’ve been in business 9 years and can’t even pay myself consistently yet. I don’t even have the budget to run campaigns so trying to do it all organically. It’s absolutely terrifying for small business in Australia.

And then we have the Australian government gaslighting us into thinking the Australian economy is thriving 💀

It’s crazy how this has all surfaced in the last few months too!!! Since the budget was released. Actually insane how you can’t forecast anymore. It’s too scary to reorder stock or plan shoots.

The risk is no longer worth the reward in Australia huh. Been a business owner for 10 years and it’s never felt like this… it’s so rough. So well said Amy ❤️
