likewise, I don't understand people who throw up their hands and say "I don't like politics and I don't vote." well, everyday you are impacted by political decision-making. the collective impact of voting decides who makes those decisions. it's such a weak-minded cop-out.

literally knew my marriage was over in 2016 when we were on vacation in CA for my daughters 16th bday with her friend. my now ex acted like Trump being elected like it was a sporting event. I was like we work in Atlantic City. we saw what he did there..NOW it all makes sense but talk about living separately but together.

I disagree! Morals and politics overlap because political issues often involve questions about fairness, rights, harm, responsibility, and what people owe each other. But morals are your beliefs about right and wrong, while politics is about how society and government should act on those beliefs. People can share the same moral value and still disagree completely on the political solution. And couples don’t necessarily need to talk politics much if it simply isn’t important to how they live their lives or treat each other.
