i actually like those design cues quite a lot. it's bold and it gives the car a classic look, dating back to when carmakers weren't so focused in making everything blend in. i actually prefer this aesthetically

It starts to collapse under its own weight. After 4 it sags just enough that it still closes but after 5 you have to help it and risk breaking it completely.
