My two pitbull‘s got in a fight and I use an entire can of pepper spray and it barely stopped him from continuing to fight. It’s probably not gonna do anything against the bear.

Alaskan here whose health with bears for 40 years. Bear mace is definitely easier and faster to deploy then getting a shot off - and you’re far less likely to miss lol

I’ve used it four times and it has worked all four times and scared me nearly to death with how close the bear was every time. It works but you should constantly pull it and mentally use it whenever your hiking just to keep the muscle memory. Great tip from Forrest as always!

bear mace is not for the bear that's for your buddy so he can't see where to run so you can get away

yeah if you go through the procedures that he just told you, you're not going to make it. when you know you're in their habitat, have the Bear Spray in your hand, safety off and ready to spray the instant the tank begins.

You don’t have to “aim”. It spreads out…and you should practice getting it out prior to hiking/walking in bear country…I would prefer to just carry it in my hand when I’m walking.

The point is , if you are walking through woods that are known to have bears , you have it at the ready at all times. or you have your gun at the ready. explore nature wisely.

dual-secure holster. the can is secured in a pistol positioned holster with a clip tethering the pin back the holster so when it's pulled out, the pin also gets ripped out.
