till death do us part take back your maiden name in the divorce and speak on the divorce as if it is a death of the version of you and once my children turned 18 I quit speaking to their father for any reason he was their father but they were grown I have no reason to speak cord cutting cut ties too ... it worked for me ..and I was absolutely single for 7 years to clear all energy within me before I dated again .
