I like Dean. He was a good first boyfriend, and he’ll always have a special place in my heart. Seeing him and Rory together reminds me of the innocence they all had at the beginning of the show. That said, when they decided to spin the block, I wasn’t here for it. I was disappointed because it just didn’t feel right. They had both outgrown each other. As for Jess, I hated that he and Rory developed feelings for each other while she was still with Dean, especially because Rory constantly lied to Dean about what was going on. Jess would never understand Rory’s privileged life and seemed to hate Stars Hollow. I honestly think some fans hold onto Rory and Jess because of the actors’ relationship off-screen. Logan had his flaws, but let’s be real: he was the better fit for Rory. He made an effort with Lorelai, fit in with her grandparents, got a glimpse into her Stars Hollow life and actually loved it. He was charming, supportive, and challenged Rory in ways she needed. Rory definitely fell first, but I think Logan fell deeper in love with her.
