i work at a spencers and for the last month the same weird old guy has been coming in at least weekly to exchange the stroker he bought last time and every time he says it was broken when he bought it. i don’t know what the hell he’s doing with them and at this point i’m scared to find out

I have had this happen many times. and ziI have come to the realization that older people do this to prolong the interaction. So many of them live alone and never talk to anyone. Their friends are dead and tjier kids are across the country. I know it's not our job to provide companionship to the elderly, but .....I just do my best to.make them feel seen and get at least a few quality minutes of company . remember each time you see this. you might be seeing your future.

We have a senior day at my work every month. Its the worst day of the month. Especially because its at the beginning of the month so all their OTC cards are fully loaded. Except none of them ever know what the card will or won't pay for. Or "Ive only got $50 on here I can't go over!" and they have a cart with over $150 worth.

idk man, worked in vet med for awhile and had someone who was maybe a little older than myself tell me they didnt want to vaccinate their dog because vaccines cause autism. like ma'am, I doubt Bella is going to get autism from rabies vaccines but go off.

I work in a retail pharmacy and my main customer base is old people…. The entitlement and rudeness is so unreal.

I once had a customer tell me to put a 4 pint (roughly 2 liter) jug of milk into a plastic bag designed for greetings cards. I told him it would burst, he said put it in anyway (we went round that loop 3ish times) so I just did it. It burst, milk ALL OVER the floor I'm gonna have to close and go get a mop. The customer asked if he should just take a fresh one out the fridge. Worse my manager said yes.

I am a long time cashier and have watched your page for a while. Its interesting that some of the things you say happen to you have rarely or never happened to me. BUT THIS... THIS is almost daily 😂 must be the flavor of old people over here !!! The other one is gross, moldy, hair filled bags 🤮

today in my first hour at work i got bitched at by a customer for not reading her mind. another customer bitched about never having rewards because apparently someone else uses them. an older lady didn’t like that to use digital coupons that you have to sign in to our app to use them. lastly this guys card took off all but $7 and he was like “what did you do” and then he tried it again but shock! the card didn’t have enough on it for the last $7. 🙄 i’m lucky my gen z work bestie understands my millennial humor enough that i can turn around and go “k!ll me” and instead of being concerned, she’s just like “already? you’ve only been here an hour”

I had a full shopping cart of groceries I bagged everything as I was scanning it up, once I totaled the sale older women reached inside a massive purse and said I have my own bags. she hands me 2 plastic bags with holes.

I am vendor to stores another older customer walked up to another companies vendor cart and took one of her plastic totes. She told him nicely sir you can’t have that I need to return it to my depot. I told sir I will give you one of my boxes we just recycle them. He then said “it’s mine now” she ended up with the tote back after a store manager got involved and the store banned him.
