As an avoidant it’s not that we don’t like spending time with the person, it’s just that outings and romantic dates takes a lot of mental planning and emotional energy that afterwards we feel exhausted (in a good way) and we need time to ourselves to go back to our baselines. It’s not just “ignoring you”, it’s building our social battery back up so that when we see you again we’re at our 100% and not visibly looking tired or stressed
