Gonna be real... Backrooms was better directed. Not saying it's a better movie, but it's doing infinitely more than Obsession as far as framing and camerawork, and movement...

He has more of a chance in Best Original Screenplay. Both Jordan Peele and Ryan Coogler won in that category for Get Out and Sinners.
