@_lordsaint: Invasive vs. invasive… but I’m choosing the one I can control. The Monstera isn’t strangling or feeding off the Bishopwood. But as it gets massive, it CAN contribute to its decline through shading, competition, and added weight. The difference? Containment. I can prune and control my Monstera just like a houseplant. Bishopwood seeds? Birds can carry those wherever they go. 🐦🌳 For MY yard, the choice is easy. 🌿 Team Monstera or 🌳 Team Bishopwood? Which are YOU choosing? 👇 #gardeningtiktokcontest #MonsteraMonday #monsteradeliciosa #monstera

Just keep an eye out for the monstera fruits too- it doesn’t fruit as often but when it does, you’ll have the same problem. Lol.

This is cool but if it starves the tree, than you potentially have a safety risk if the tree falls.

Thanks for clarifying. Looks amazing and I'm incredibly jealous. living in Scotland we don't have the climate for this but it's great to see it growing so successfully in your videos.

I'm guessing that the main way monstera spreads in a bad way is people throwing not completely ☠️plants out in areas.

I did this with with a different type of tree. During a hurricane the foliage was catching so much wind it uprooted the tree

Question, are fruit trees allowed in Florida? Especially in the front yard? Like a random tree for neighbors kids to pick fresh fruit?
