@corinalmeister: How are everyday normal people supposed to be able to afford these insane costs? It’s been 4 years since our last round and truth be told, we’re still paying for it. The biggest reason we have taken a break between cycles isn't just because I wanted to give my body a break, it's because we didn't have the money. When you tell people about the cost of IVF they usually say something like "it will be totally worth it once you have your baby!" While yes it will obviously worth it but what about when you’ve already spent THOUSANDS with no baby. We’re putting ourselves into serious debt for a maybe and it’s a tough pill to swallow. Quite honestly I will never NOT be mad about it. But will we keep going? Yeah absolutely. Jobs at Starbucks, target, att, T-Mobile, Lowe’s, Walmart, Walgreens, Costco and others have good fertility benefits. I am having a hard time being hired for them at the moment because my experience is in other things. But it might be easier in certain areas!

We’re not. The cost is part of the reason we didn’t move forward with IVF at all. It’s unattainable for many people.

my friend got a part time job at Starbucks and they paid for her IVF! I hate that it is so ridiculously expensive and it shouldn't be that way, but it was a great option for her!
